MP News: The Madhya Pradesh government has taken a significant step to promote sports in the state. This initiative has been led by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The state government has decided to build stadiums in all districts, creating sports complexes that will provide facilities for a variety of sports. This forward-thinking approach is aimed at securing a better future for the youth of Madhya Pradesh.This initiative to improve sports infrastructure in the blocks and districts of Madhya Pradesh is a significant step forward, benefiting not just the state but the country as a whole. Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office, there has been considerable progress in the sports sector in India. The steps being taken by the Madhya Pradesh government are an attempt to further the vision set forth by PM Modi.The Chief Minister stated, “Under the ‘One District, One Sports Complex’ initiative, the state government will construct sports stadiums in every district. Following this, there are plans to build sports stadiums in all blocks under the sports infrastructure scheme.The Department of Sports and Youth Welfare has already set up 12 synthetic hockey turfs, with 6 more turfs currently in the process of being laid. The aim of sharing this information is to highlight that the development of sports-related infrastructure in the state is ongoing.”So far, 114 sports infrastructure projects have been completed in Madhya Pradesh, with 30 more currently under construction. These efforts are being carried out by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare. The state has already established 8 synthetic athletic tracks.One such synthetic athletic track is being installed at the Kushabhau Thakre Stadium in Dewas. Plans have also been approved for similar tracks in Indore, Ratlam, and Chhatarpur.These improvements are providing the youth of Madhya Pradesh with opportunities to showcase their talents in sports, thus enhancing the pride of both the state and the nation.The construction of the synthetic track at Kushabhau Thakre Stadium will cost around 9.18 crore rupees and will be built on 10 acres of land. The stadium will feature four synthetic badminton courts, two basketball courts, a 25-meter swimming pool, an open gym, facilities for softball, chess, and self-defense training for women.
