Bhopal. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) by the Department of Urban Administration and Housing, one-day campaigns are being conducted in the urban bodies of the state. In this series, Swachh Sarovar Abhiyan was run in all 413 urban bodies of the state on Saturday. Swachh Survey-2024 is to be held in urban bodies in the coming days. Preparations are being made for this at the ground level. Along with cleanliness and beautification in urban areas across the state, water structures were cleaned.
As per the instructions issued by the Directorate of Urban Administration, Swachh Sarovar Abhiyan was run in all the urban bodies of the state on Saturday with the participation of citizens. Under this campaign, water structures located in the urban limits and its surroundings were cleaned.
Dustbins were installed at places with high traffic in the urban areas of the state. Maintenance of already installed dustbins was done. Along with this, messages of plastic ban and messages of cleanliness were written by doing wall painting. In urban areas, beautification was done by cleaning the garbage around water structures. Residents and shopkeepers around water structures were included in the campaign. They were given information about keeping the water structures clean. Various types of figures were prepared and installed around the structures by some bodies under Waste-to-Art.
