Old age homes will be run in major religious places: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav celebrated Deepawali with the elderly at Anand Dham Ashram run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in Shivaji Nagar Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the Commissioner of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities to run old age homes for the elderly in Ujjain, Orchha, Omkareshwar and Chitrakoot and provide necessary facilities for the elderly in them.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the elderly on Deepawali and received their blessings. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also lit sparklers with the elderly and celebrated Deepawali by presenting them sweets and gifts. Many social workers were present on this occasion. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav got information about the activities of Anand Dham. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that after God, parents have a place. My parents have gone to heaven. But today after coming to Anand Dham, it seems as if I have come among my parents.
After meeting and discussing with the elderly, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed with the officials of Anand Dham. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that such Dhams and Ashrams will be started at places of religious importance in the state. With this, the elderly people will be able to join these programs. Along with this, special initiatives will be taken to help in the assistance and treatment of the elderly people. If the elderly whose children are working abroad face health related problems while staying here in Anand Dham or old age home, then arrangements will be made for them. Beds will also be reserved in the hospital so that such elderly people can be admitted to the hospital.
The elderly women and men were very happy to have Chief Minister Dr. Yadav among them. They thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for coming to Anand Dham and also blessed him.
The elderly people also sang Badi Der Bhai Nandlala.. and other bhajans in Anand Dham Ashram. Officials of Seva Bharti Sanstha were present on the occasion of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav receiving blessings from the elderly in Anand Dham and having a cordial meeting and discussion with them.
The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities is running 83 old age homes for the overall welfare and rehabilitation of senior citizens in the state. Housing, maintenance, entertainment and health facilities are provided to the elderly in old age homes. 11 new 50-seater old age home buildings are running for the elderly in Betul, Guna, Jhabua, Morena, Singrauli, Umaria, Satna, Jabalpur, Khargone, Tikamgarh and Sidhi.
