Kedarpuri resounds with cheers, Baba Kedar’s Kshetrapal Bhagwan Bhakunt Bhairavnath’s gates closed for winter
Lord Kedarnath’s Kshetrapal Bhagwan Bhakunt Bhairavnath’s gates have been closed for winter on Tuesday with worship and yagya-rituals. Kedarnath Dham’s gates will be closed on the festival of Bhaiya Dooj on November 3.
On the same day, Baba Kedar’s movable Utsav Vigraha Doli will depart from Dham for the winter seat and reach Rampur for the night stay. On November 4, the Doli will reach Vishwanath Temple Guptkashi from Rampur for the night stay and on November 5, it will be seated in the winter seat Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath for the six-month winter worship.
On Tuesday, Kedarnath Dham’s chief priest Shiv Shankar Ling along with other right holders reached Bhairavnath Temple at 11.30 in the afternoon. Here special worship of the deity was done. Along with this, all the religious traditions were performed.
On this occasion, the chief priest Shiv Shankar Ling performed all the rituals as per tradition and decorated the worshipped Bhairavnath Ji and offered him Prasad. On this occasion, the Lord descended on his horse and blessed with happiness and prosperity.
At exactly 1.30 pm, the doors of Lord Bhairavnath were closed for the winter season. On this occasion, the entire area echoed with chants of the worshipped. On this occasion, the President of Kedar Sabha, Rajkumar Tiwari said that with the closing of the doors of Lord Bhairavnath, the process of closing the doors of Baba Kedar has begun. He said that Lord Bhairavnath protects the Kedarnath Dham.
