Tuesday is the last day of the National Khadi Festival Fair
The National Khadi Festival, which has been going on since 27 September 2024 at Bhopal Haat, will conclude on 8 October. It is noteworthy that on the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Madhya Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board, under the Cottage and Village Industries Department, has organized the National Khadi Festival at Bhopal Haat with the aim of providing employment to the weavers and other artisans working in rural areas and to promote the products of Khadi.
86 stalls of 9 states have been set up
86 stalls of 9 states have been set up in the National Khadi Festival. MP alone has 26 stalls in it. Along with this, shops have been set up by Khadi Village Industries and Handicraft units of Rajasthan, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh.
In the fair, stalls have been set up for various items including Mulberry Silk and Muslin Khadi sarees, cloth, shawl, suits, readymade garments of all types of Khadi fabric, ladies kurta and clay art material in village industry, jute, bamboo, wooden furniture, leather bags, belts, purses, incense sticks, shampoo, sanitizer, pure and natural spices, honey, pickles, papad, flour, gram flour porridge, etc., in which a large number of customers are coming and shopping.
Special discount on Kabira Khadi clothes and Vindhya Valley products
In Khadi Mahotsav, Madhya Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board is giving the benefit of special discount to customers on all types of Kabira Khadi clothes. Along with this, special discount is being given on FMGC product Vindhya Valley produced by the village industry of the state. In the festival, the stall of method of making earthen pots, making thread and weaving of cloth is the center of attraction.
Organizing cultural programs
With the aim of promoting art in the Khadi Utsav at Bhopal Haat, cultural programs are being organized every day. These include patriotic songs, Sufi singing, folk dance and singing performances, Yaadon Ki Baraat, fashion show and puppet show, box of old songs, Gandhiji Bhajan Sandhya, Kishore Kumar Night, Ghazal, Radha Krishna Leela and singing performances.
