Two people trapped on the island of Dhasan river in Tikamgarh for 24 hours were successfully rescued
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is constantly monitoring the relief and rescue work and other arrangements in the flood affected districts of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav today discussed with Collector of Tikamgarh district Shri Awadhesh Sharma on video calling from Datana airstrip of Ujjain and inquired about the rescue work of 2 affected people trapped in the flood disaster. Collector Tikamgarh Shri Sharma informed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav that Shri Rammilan Yadav and Shri Ramcharan Raikwar were trapped on the island of Dhasan river in Mahobiya Ghat village of Chanderi Khas Gram Panchayat of Baldevgarh block of Tikamgarh district for 24 hours. To save both of them, efforts were first made to lift them by helicopter. After this, both the villagers were successfully rescued by the NDRF team.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed with Shri Rammilan Yadav and Shri Ramcharan Raikwar who were rescued safely and inquired about their well-being. Both of them expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for saving their lives. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the NDRF jawans for the successful rescue operation and directed SP Tikamgarh to honour these jawans for their active role in flood relief work. He also talked to the villagers and advised them to remain alert and cautious in case of heavy rainfall.
