More than one lakh 12 thousand electricity consumers have got KYC done
Bhopal. Under the KYC process started with the objective of providing the benefits of government schemes and facilities to the electricity consumers of 16 districts falling under Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior and Chambal divisions under the jurisdiction of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company on the lines of public and private sector banks, till now 01 lakh 12 thousand 722 consumers have successfully got KYC done.
The company has informed that under the KYC process, KYC of 16 thousand 478 electricity consumers has been done in Narmadapuram, 19 thousand 704 in Betul, 8 thousand 382 in Rajgarh, 15 thousand 388 in Bhopal, 06 thousand 729 in Guna, 06 thousand 923 in Sehore, 09 thousand 363 in Gwalior, 05 thousand 089 in Datia, 04 thousand 244 in Raisen, 03 thousand 564 in Shivpuri, 02 thousand 747 in Harda, 900 in Sheopur, 02 thousand 053 in Morena and 920 in Bhind.
Managing Director of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, Mr. Kshitij Singhal has directed all the field officers of the company’s work area to ensure that the general public and electricity consumers are made aware of the KYC process being done by the company. Also, the company is providing the facility of doing KYC from home through Upay App.
It is worth noting that Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company has started the Know Your Consumer (KYC) process to update the electricity related personal details of the electricity consumers of 16 districts falling under Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior and Chambal divisions of the company’s area of work in the company’s records. Under the Know Your Consumer (KYC) process, the company is updating the personal information of electricity consumers such as Samagra ID, mobile number and bank account etc. Through the Know Your Consumer (KYC) process, while the benefits of the state government schemes can be ensured to the electricity consumers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, on the other hand, more transparency will be ensured in the system. KYC will ensure physical verification of the electricity connection and load status of the actual consumers, which will help the company in planning future expansion of electricity structures in its working area and will help the company in correct identification of consumers and accurate tagging of mobile numbers, which will ensure smooth operation of the company’s services.
Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company has informed that by downloading the Upay app available on Google Play Store, electricity consumers can complete the KYC process by entering their consumer number and overall number in Samagra KYC and then entering the OTP received on the linked mobile number.
