Madhya Pradesh honored by Central Government in Top Achiever Category in Citizen Services
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh has been honored by the Central Government in the “Top Achiever Category in Citizen Services” for the successful implementation of Business Reforms Action Plan-2022. Union Commerce Minister Shri Piyush Goyal presented the honor to Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Raghavendra Singh at a function organized in New Delhi.
The innovations and process simplification done by Madhya Pradesh for industries and civic amenities have been appreciated by DPIIT (Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) Central Government.
This award has been given to the state on the basis of evaluation of services available on online portals implemented by various departments of Madhya Pradesh state like Shramik Seva Portal, Invest Portal, e Nagarpalika, RCMS, Cyber Tehsil, Sampada, MPE District Portal etc.
Efforts are being made by all the departments to further strengthen the “Ease of Living” and “Ease of Doing Business” in Madhya Pradesh. The departments are simplifying the Acts and Rules. New upgraded systems like Cyber Tehsil and Sampada 2.0 are helpful in this.
It is worth noting that the Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) is a program of the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, which assesses the reforms made by Indian states and union territories (UTs) in business and civic facilities. The goals of BRAP include single window system, online building construction permission system, inspection reforms, labor and environmental reforms.
Under the Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) 2022, the Central Government has placed the states that have scored more than 95% marks in 25 reform areas (15 business and 10 citizen-centric) in the ‘Top Achievers’ category. Madhya Pradesh has been honored for doing excellent work in ‘Empowering citizens through streamlined Employment services’ – a citizen-centric service.
