Inspiring journey of Premlata Rahangdale, a teacher who gives light to dreams
Selected for National Teacher Award
BHOPAL. Training Officer Premlata Rahangdale of Government Divisional Industrial Training Institute, ITI Govindpura, Bhopal is today counted among those teachers who not only impart education but also give a new direction to the lives of their students. Her dedication for visually impaired students, her untiring hard work and strong belief have given her the honour of being selected for the National Teacher Award.
Rahangdale told that her teaching journey started 11 years ago. She had only one dream, to enhance the hidden potential within children and prepare them to stand firmly in front of the difficulties of life. She says, “When I started this journey, my aim was to dispel the darkness of these children’s lives with the light of education.
Mrs. Rahangdale’s vision is not limited to teaching only. She emphasizes on the overall development of her students, so that they can make their mark in every field of life. She says, “My aim is to take the students to a level where they can contribute to the society through self-confidence, literacy and personality development.”
For students coming from rural and economically weaker families, Mrs. Rahangdale has emerged as a guide. She not only educates them, but also prepares them to face the challenges in life. She says, “During my teaching journey, I realized that if these children are given the right direction, they too can achieve success, like any normal student does.”
Mrs. Rahangdale believes that the National Teacher Award she received is the result of her dedication towards the students. This award not only recognizes her excellence in vocational training and entrepreneurship development, but also recognizes her excellence in vocational training and entrepreneurship development.
