Man Seva is Narayan Seva: Minister Tank Ram Verma

Raipur. Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma visited Indian Leprosy Prevention Association Sonthi Ashram Katrenagar in Janjgir-Champa district yesterday and inaugurated Vidyabharati Central Zone level sports competition at Saraswati Shishu Mandir Champa. Addressing the program organized at Indian Leprosy Prevention Association Katrenagar, he said that a few decades ago people considered leprosy to be a contagious disease. People used to maintain not only physical distance but also social distance from leprosy patients. At present, this discrimination is decreasing. Every possible effort is being made by the government for their upliftment. The selfless service of leprosy patients by Leprosy Prevention Association Katrenagar is an inspiration for all of us. Serving leprosy patients is like Narayan Seva.

Minister Shri Verma, while visiting the Indian Leprosy Prevention Association campus, distributed tricycles to needy leprosy patients and distributed fruits while tying Raksha Sutra. He appreciated the various useful hand products being made at the Leprosy Ashram Sonthi Katrenagar. The members of the Leprosy Ashram Sonthi raised the issue of constructing a boundary wall at the ashram, on which Minister Shri Tankaram directed the concerned officials to take necessary action. After this, Minister Shri Verma inaugurated the Vidya Bharati Madhya Kshetra level sports competition organized at Saraswati Shishu Mandir Champa and boosted the morale of the players.
