Kabuli chana became costlier by 300 rupees in a single day

Indore. The decline in Kabuli chana in the last three-four days stopped on Friday. Prices increased due to the resumption of buying by speculators. In a single day, Kabuli chana has again jumped by 200-300 rupees depending on the quality.

There is ample stock of Kabuli chana in the country. Currently, the buying by exporters is also low. Despite this, the rise in the market clearly shows that speculators and exporters are playing a big game. Sporadic arrivals of new Kabuli chana have started in the US and Canada. This has stopped the rising prices and is currently showing stability.

The quality of Kabuli chana will weaken in Canada

In Canada, buyers are offering a price of 38-40 cents per pound for September-October delivery and 42 cents per pound for November-December movement. Initial samples of the new crop show that the quality of Kabuli chana in Canada will be somewhat weak this time.

The grain size may remain small. Due to this, the stock of Kabuli chana with large grains is likely to remain limited abroad. Its price may rise in the coming months. Due to 42 percent increase in area in America and favorable weather, a great production of Kabuli chana is expected this time. Its import from Canada may decrease. Canadian chana will also face challenges in the global market.
