Narela Rakshabandhan Festival: Second day of Rakshabandhan Festival dedicated to Prime Minister’s ‘One Tree in Mother’ campaign
Bhopal. Cooperative, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang participated in the Narela Rakshabandhan Festival organized in Wards 78 and 59 of Narela Assembly on Thursday. Minister Sarang dedicated the second day of the campaign to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘One Tree in Mother’ campaign. On the second day of the world’s largest Rakshabandhan festival, 21 thousand sisters tied Raksha Sutra to Minister Shri Sarang. On this occasion, Minister Sarang presented one plant to each sister and appealed to all the sisters to plant a tree in their homes and courtyards in the name of their mother.
Appeal to plant one tree in the name of mother
Minister Shri Sarang dedicated the second day of Narela Rakshabandhan Festival to Prime Minister Shri Modi’s ‘One Tree in Mother’ campaign. He presented one plant each as a gift to the thousands of sisters who participated. Minister Sarang said that all the sisters should plant one tree in the name of their mother and ensure its care and maintenance.
This is not a political festival but a celebration of Narela family
While talking to the sisters, Minister Shri Sarang said that every year more than 1 lakh sisters in Narela assembly tie Raksha-Sutra to him and give him love and blessings. He said that Narela Rakshabandhan Mahotsav is not a political program, it is a bond of unbreakable faith of lakhs of sisters of Narela family. This love of the sisters gives them strength for public service. This is what makes Narela Assembly ‘Narela Family’.
Flowers showered on sisters
On the second day of Rakshabandhan Mahotsav, thousands of sisters tied Raksha-Sutra on both the hands of Minister Shri Sarang in the function organized in Ward 78 and 59 of Narela Assembly. Here Minister Shri Sarang showered flowers on the sisters. He also presented wallet and Aarti collection as a gift to all the sisters. Food was also arranged for the sisters in the function.
Rakshabandhan Mahotsav will continue till 29th August
The most grand Rakshabandhan festival of Narela Assembly will continue till 29th August. Last year, Minister Shri Sarang had set a world record by tying Rakhi to more than 1 lakh 41 thousand sisters in this festival. Seeing the enthusiasm of the sisters towards the festival, there is a strong possibility of breaking last year’s record this time.
