Gold and silver prices fall before Janmashtami, check
Gold and silver prices have fallen today (Wednesday). According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has come down to Rs 71,719 on the evening of August 21. Its price was Rs 71,884 in the morning. At the same time, the price was Rs 71,945 per 10 grams on Tuesday evening.
The price of silver has increased by Rs 23 on Wednesday. Its price was recorded at Rs 84,890 in the morning and Rs 84,913 per kg in the evening. Earlier on Tuesday evening, silver was Rs 85,321 per kg. This year gold has reached an all-time high of 74,222 per ten grams in May. Silver had reached an all-time high of Rs 94,280 per on May 29.
The central government has made hallmark mandatory. Now there are three types of symbols on gold. These include BIS logo, purity grade and six-digit alphanumeric code. 24 carat gold is considered the purest, but jewelry is not made from it. 18 to 22 carat gold is used for jewelry.
