To connect the youth with employment, provide training as per local demand: Kedar Kashyap

Raipur. As per the intention of CM Vishnu Dev Sai, training will be provided as per the demand of local industries to connect the youth with employment. Skill Development Minister Kedar Kashyap today reviewed the activities of skill training conducted under Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority and State Project Livelihood College Society in the meeting room located in Ministry Mahanadi Bhawan.

Minister Kashyap has to provide maximum employment-oriented training to the youth and women of the state and connect them with livelihood activities so that they can become self-reliant. Secretary of Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment Department, Mr. S. Bharatidasan and Chief Executive Officer of Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority, Mr. Rajesh Singh Rana and other senior officials were present in the meeting.

Minister Kashyap said that in order to enable the trained youth to establish their own employment, the pending cases in the division-wise bank should be reviewed at the collector level. He directed to make proper arrangements for training in courses as per local requirements in Bastar region like Bell Metal, Boss Craft, Terracotta and Tamarind, Lac, Harra Bahera, Chhind, Food Processing etc. and by identifying trades as per market demand. He asked to conduct courses related to social media in view of the interest of youth towards social media and the possibility of self-employment in this field.

Minister Mr. Kashyap said that under the Niyad Nellnar Scheme, maximum number of youth should be surveyed and as per their interest, skill training should be provided in the training center near the district headquarters or their place of residence. He directed to provide training to youth of specially backward tribes under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana under the livelihood development program run by the Livelihood College or other skill training schemes. Minister Mr. Kashyap directed the officials to take necessary action regarding starting the training by ensuring quality construction of the hostels under construction in the districts of Bastar division as soon as possible.
