Sensex Opening Bell: Selling in the stock market again; Sensex also fell

Blue chip equity indices Sensex and Nifty opened with a decline on Thursday ahead of the Reserve Bank of India’s policy meeting. The MPC is expected to maintain the current interest rates today as well. At 9:20 am, the BSE Sensex was trading at 79,151, down 320 points or 0.40%. The Nifty slipped 67 points or 0.28% to trade at 24,230.
