Record rise in stock market, Sensex climbs, Nifty also at heights
The domestic stock market saw greenery on the first trading day of the week. Sensex and Nifty reached record levels in early trade on Monday. During this, the Sensex strengthened by more than 350 points. On the other hand, Nifty crossed 24900 for the first time. At 9:48 am, the Sensex was seen trading at 81,670.00 with a gain of 318.88 (0.39%) points. On the other hand, the Nifty strengthened by 74.56 (0.30%) points to reach 24,909.40.
The domestic stock market Sensex and Nifty reached their new all-time highs in early trade on Monday. The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 416.62 points in early trade to a new record level of 81,749.34 points. On the other hand, NSE Nifty rose by 145.6 points to a new all-time high of 24,980.45 points.
Among the companies listed on the Sensex, NTPC, State Bank of India, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank and UltraTech Cement were the top gainers. Titan, Bharti Airtel, ITC and Tech Mahindra were the losers.
