Ahead of his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held a discussion. In fact, letters were exchanged between the two leaders. In the discussion between the two leaders, Trump told Mahmoud Abbas that ‘everything will be fine’. On July 14, the day after the attack on Trump, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas wrote a letter to Trump, in which Abbas expressed concern over the attack on Trump and wished him a speedy recovery. Trump also shared Abbas’s letter on social media. In this letter, Abbas wrote, ‘I have received the news of your assassination attempt and later I also saw its footage. I am very worried about you.’
