The ICC has released the latest T20 rankings. Indian T20 team vice-captain and star Hardik Pandya has become the world’s number one all-rounder. In the latest rankings, he has become joint number one with Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga. Hardik climbed two places to equal Sri Lankan star Wanindu Hasaranga. Hardik has been rewarded for his brilliant performance in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024. In the final, Hardik took the important wickets of Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller. Hardik performed well with bat and ball in the tournament and is the first Indian player to become the world’s number one all-rounder in T20.
Hardik Pandya played an impressive cameo with the bat in the lower order and also achieved great success with the ball. When the team needed him, he accepted the challenge and took wickets. He scored 144 runs at a strike-rate of over 150 and also took 11 wickets. However, his best performance came in the final when he dismissed Klaasen in the 17th over, who had almost won the match for South Africa.
