Provide cheap and accessible transport services to the general public: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the citizens of Madhya Pradesh should be given the benefit of cheap and accessible transport services. For this, the necessary arrangements should be completed soon. Similarly, on the lines of Gujarat, the check-post system should be implemented within the time limit. In this system, the transporter can deposit the prescribed fee by making the necessary self-declaration regarding his vehicle on the e-check-post website in advance. There is a provision to deposit double the fee if found guilty in the investigation. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav approved the necessary staff and budget including Home Guard for the system.

Main instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

• E-vehicle system should be increased in the state.

• The arrival time of passenger buses should be fixed. Buses should come on time. The system should be strictly followed. Passengers should also be aware of this.

• Overloading should not be allowed.

• The system of bus stand should be implemented at the designated place. Buses should not be parked haphazardly. Stand should be built at the declared place.

• New bus stops must be built considering the need for bus stand and bus stop.

• Facility of making learning license in college should be provided for students.

• Online services should be increased.

• Transport department should make better arrangements for various public facilities.

Transport and School Education Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh, Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister’s Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Additional Chief Secretary Transport Shri S.N. Mishra, Transport Commissioner Shri D.P. Gupta and related officers were present.

Vehicle checking system of Gujarat at a glance

17 check posts were abolished in Gujarat from the year 2019. 58 check point sites were notified in the name of check point in place of check post. Officers do duty for eight hours each at the check point. There is also a guard and driver along with an officer at each check point. For this system, 217 officers are posted every seventh day. The system has been implemented by dividing the state into four zones. This system has also increased the income of the transport department. Equipment like body worn camera, speed gun, radar gun and interceptor are implemented in this system. About 850 posts including Motor Vehicle Inspector and Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector have been approved. The officials of Madhya Pradesh are studying this system and starting the process of implementing it in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave instructions to complete the process soon.
