Heavy rain and snowfall continues in Jammu and Kashmir and dozens of houses have collapsed due to landslides. Maximum damage has been seen in Baramulla, Kishtwar and Reasi districts. According to the report of news agency ANI, after heavy snowfall in the hilly area, more than three dozen houses collapsed and many houses are on the verge of collapse. In such a situation, keeping security in mind, the administration has shifted people to another place.
Emergency services on alert
12 houses were damaged due to heavy rains in Kishtwar district. Emergency services have been put on alert here. It is noteworthy that it has been raining heavily in the area for the last 4 days. About a dozen houses in Nagaseni, Mughal Maidan and Kishtwar areas were indicated to have been damaged. The Meteorological Department has predicted snowfall and rain on Tuesday also and due to this, schools will remain closed in Kashmir Valley on Tuesday. The Junior Assistant type examination to be held here on Tuesday has also been postponed.
