Dhamtari. Jal Jagar Mahotsav is being celebrated in the district, under which citizens of the state and district participated in Gangrel Half Marathon, Endurance Run and Walkathon to give the message of preserving water and environment to the people.
Dhamtari resident Suklal Awde showed his best passion in the 10 kms endurance run in the marathon. Suklal Awde told that he is 77 years old and hails from Dhamtari. He participated in marathon for the first time and is very happy to complete this race on time. He told that he is a badminton player and he has been playing badminton for 47 years. He gave the credit of his fitness to balanced diet, exercise, staying away from intoxication and hard work. Shri Suklal Awade informed that this year the award of Best Motivational Player 2024 was given by the Railways in Charoda. He appreciated the efforts being made for water conservation by the Dhamtari district administration under the able leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai Sarkar.
