400 couples tied the knot in Tatapani Mahotsav
400 new couples got married under the Chief Minister Kanya Mass Marriage Scheme in the Tatapani Mahotsav complex being organized in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district. Chief Minister Shri Sai was welcomed at the venue wearing a turban. On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai extended best wishes to the newlyweds for the new phase in life. On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, School Education Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal, Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade, Samari MLA Udheshwari Paikra, Pratappur MLA Shakuntala Porte, District Panchayat President Nisha Netam and other public representatives were also present.
Under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana, 400 couples got married according to customs. In this, 19 couples were married in Christian manner. 01 marriage was conducted according to Muslim customs and the remaining couples were married according to Hindu customs. These couples include 07 couples from special backward tribe (Pahari Korwa) along with 03 disabled couples. They were married as per Hindu customs. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai provided household items, demo check of Rs. 21-21 thousand per couple to newly married couples. The Chief Minister met Pahari Korwa community couples Ranjeeta and Dineshwar, Shanti and Labud, Lakshmi and Basant, Rajni and Sohan, Subhanti and Chhotan Ram and blessed them.
Rukmani and Prakash, a disabled couple from Shankargarh, were given a demo check of Rs 21,000 by the Chief Minister from the Women and Child Development Department along with a check of Rs 50,000 given by the Social Welfare Department as they are disabled. Utensils, cupboards, boxes, racks, mattresses, household items and other items were presented as special gifts by the department to the bride and groom. In the Chief Minister’s daughter’s marriage, each girl was given a gift worth Rs 15 thousand. Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana is a special effort for the girls of poor families. The objective of this scheme is to support the economically weaker sections, where they are getting married due to the efforts of the government and administration. By becoming aware of this scheme, people are getting benefited from the benefits of the scheme.
