38 candidates are in the fray in Raipur Lok Sabha, more women voters than men.

Raipur . Voting under Raipur Lok Sabha Election 2024 will start from 7 am on May 7. Voting will end at 6 pm. There are 38 candidates in the fray in Raipur Lok Sabha and 2385 polling stations have been set up in 9 Assembly constituencies. 23 lakh 75 thousand 379 voters will be able to exercise their franchise in Raipur Lok Sabha. 11 lakh 86 thousand 504 male voters will exercise their franchise in Raipur Lok Sabha elections. There are 11 lakh 88 thousand 571 women voters. 304 are third gender voters. 3 ballot units will be used in each polling station. Micro observers have been appointed after selecting a total of 245 polling stations in the district. Webcasting has been done after selecting 954 polling stations. Women have been given the responsibility of 857 polling stations in Raipur. Women will operate 203 polling stations of Raipur North Assembly. Similarly, 7 polling stations have been selected for the disabled. 35 polling stations will be operated by youth workers. 35 model polling stations have been prepared. As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, ramps, drinking water, toilets, medical facilities and other arrangements have been made as minimum basic facilities in all the polling stations.

Vehicle facility to reach polling station
The district administration will provide vehicle facilities to reach the polling stations. Voters above 80 years of age will have the facility of vehicle. Apart from this, disabled voters will also get the facility of vehicle to go to and from home.
