3 women of Birhor family are getting the benefit of Mahtari Vandan, the head of the family got a permanent house

Raigarh, 2 March 2025: While 3 women of the special backward tribe Birhor family living in Jamarga village panchayat of Dharamjaigarh development block of Raigarh district are getting the benefit of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the head of the family, Mr. Sonuram Birhor, has got a permanent house through PM Awas. Also, with the making of Ayushman card of all the members of the house, the worry of treatment has also been removed. In this way, his entire family is benefiting from various schemes of the government. In the family of Sonuram Birhor, his wife Smt. Kunwari Bai along with two daughters-in-law, Smt. Bhajmati and Ratni Bai are getting the benefit of Mahtari Vandan Yojana. With the 3 women of the family getting one thousand rupees each every month, a total amount of 3 thousand rupees is being received in the house. With the benefit of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana of the government, women are becoming financially empowered as well as helping in running the house. On the other hand, the head of the family Sonu Ram Birhor has got rid of many problems at once because of the construction of a permanent house under the PM Janman Yojana. Now he is no longer worried about water dripping from the roof or wet walls during rain. Also, there is no fear of snakes and scorpions. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai along with the district administration for getting the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
It is noteworthy that Mahtari Vandan Yojana has been implemented with the objective of economic self-reliance of women in the state and continuous improvement in their health and nutrition level and to strengthen their decisive role in the family, to remove discrimination, inequality and lack of awareness towards women in the society, to improve health and nutrition level and to promote economic self-reliance and empowerment. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 1000 per month is being provided to married, widowed, abandoned and divorced women of the state whose age is more than 21 years. Similarly, to connect the special backward tribes with the mainstream of the society and to provide them all the basic facilities, the benefit of PM Janman is reaching the areas dominated by special backward tribes residing in remote areas. Under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Awas Yojana, under the guidance of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the dream of economically weaker families in the district to build their own pucca houses is coming true and the condition and direction of the lives of their families is changing.
