The campaign for the Kedarnath by-election has ended today. On the last day of campaigning, CM Dhami spoke from Guptkashi. On one hand, he counted the development works of the BJP government, while on the other hand he targeted the Congress fiercely. The CM said that the Congress has been supporting appeasement and land jihad, while the BJP has made a law on it.
In the BJP election rally held in Guptkashi, Dhami promised that no shortage will be allowed in the development of the area. He said that the schemes will be implemented by discussing with the Panda, Purohit, Dandi Kandi, horse-mule operators and small traders two months before the start of the Yatra. Dhami said that the number of devotees is increasing every year, so resources and facilities will also have to be increased. For this, work will be done by mutual consultation.
He appealed to the public to vote in support of BJP candidate Asha Nautiyal. The Chief Minister said that Asha Nautiyal herself has stood in the election with her report card. He has a deep attachment to this area. He said that as a representative, Asha Nautiyal has come to him several times in the last three years for the development of Kedarnath area. The Chief Minister said that we have to make a dedicated and hardworking leader MLA for the area.
CM Dhami said that the state is constantly progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi had described the third decade of the 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand from the land of Baba Kedarnath. In accordance with these words of his, development is also visible in the area. He said that the Congress which ruled the country for 60 years, no Prime Minister of theirs came to Baba Kedar’s Dham. PM Modi ji is the first Prime Minister of the country who has come to Uttarakhand 7 times to visit Baba Kedarnath ji, because Baba Kedarnath ji resides in his heart.
The Chief Minister said that the grand and divine construction work of Kedarnath Dham is going on under the leadership of PM Modi. Development work is being done in this area with an amount of more than Rs 2000 crore. The entire Kedar Valley along with Kedarnath Dham is developing rapidly. Construction work of many roads, bridges, parks and religious places is going on in this area. Many schemes run by our government like Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana have worked to improve the lives of the people.
The Chief Minister said that during the time of Congress, the number of people visiting Kedarnath was continuously decreasing. But today in the double engine BJP government, the number of pilgrims is increasing every year. This year more than 16 lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath. He said that we are working to remove the difficulties faced during the journey.
