 Train Disruptions in June: What You Need to Know-This June, some train services will be temporarily affected due to essential railway upgrades near Katni. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect.

 Major Line Upgrades: Katni Junction Improvements-The Indian Railways is undertaking significant improvements at Katni Junction. This crucial work involves creating a new connecting line between Katni Kurd and Jhabua stations. This project will also include a grade separator at the New Katni Junction (NKJ) yard. This will greatly improve the flow of freight trains, reducing congestion and delays for passenger services in the long run. The work is anticipated to result in significantly smoother operations and fewer delays for both passenger and freight trains in the future. The inconvenience caused by temporary disruptions is a small price to pay for these long-term improvements to the railway infrastructure.

 Train Cancellations and Route Changes-To accommodate the construction, 18 trains will be canceled during the first week of June. This includes several major express trains. Additionally, the Gondia-Barauni Express will be rerouted to minimize disruption to passengers. The railways have worked to ensure alternative arrangements are in place to maintain essential transport links during this period. Passengers are advised to check the updated train schedules before travelling.
