1200 Special Sports Volunteers to be Deployed for National Games, NSFOI to Provide Support

National Games: In the upcoming National Games, 1,200 specialized sports volunteers will be deployed. These volunteers will be provided to Uttarakhand at the level of the National Federation Sports of India (NFSOI). Additionally, Uttarakhand is set to select around 2,300 general volunteers on its own, separate from the specialized sports volunteers. 30,000 People Have Registered Uttarakhand is hosting the 38th National Games, which will kick off on January 28. To manage the various arrangements, two types of volunteers will contribute. The recruitment process for general volunteers is currently underway, and over 30,000 individuals have already registered to become volunteers. All of them will receive online training, and they will also take an online exam. The results of this exam will determine which volunteers are selected.

1200 Specialized Sports Volunteers Will Be Deployed According to Prashant Arya, the Additional Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Secretariat, in addition to general volunteers, specialized sports volunteers will also be appointed. These volunteers will be sourced through the National Federation Sports of India and will be assigned to various locations. Volunteers with a sports background typically have experience in national and international competitions. What’s the Difference Between Specialized and General Volunteers?
While general volunteers are usually tasked with regular arrangements like parking and assisting guests, specialized volunteers will take on responsibilities directly related to sports events. According to Pratik Joshi, who is overseeing volunteer-related activities, specialized sports volunteers will receive a daily allowance of 1,000 rupees, while general volunteers will earn 500 rupees per day. Both categories of volunteers will also receive training in behavior and etiquette.
