11th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana released
Rs 651.62 crore transferred to women's bank accounts
Raipur, 03 January 2025: On the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the amount of the 11th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana has been released by the Women and Child Development Department. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the state government has transferred assistance of Rs 1,000 each under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana to the bank accounts of women on 01 January 2025 to about 70 lakh mothers and sisters of the state on the New Year. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 7181 crore 94 lakh has been given to the beneficiary women in 11 monthly installments from March 2024 to January 2025.
It is worth noting that the said scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 10 March 2024. About 70 lakh beneficiary women of the state are being given financial assistance of one thousand rupees every month. There is also a mobile app of Mahtari Vandan Yojana for information about the amount received from Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Which the beneficiaries can download from the Play Store and see their information.
According to the information received from Women and Child Development, in the month of January 2025, a total amount of Rs 651.62 crore was paid to 69 lakh 69 thousand 399 beneficiaries in their bank accounts. Out of these beneficiaries, 60 lakh 65 thousand 160 beneficiaries have been given assistance of Rs 606 crore 51 lakh 60 thousand at the rate of Rs 1000 each and 9 lakh 04 thousand 239 women receiving social security pension have been given assistance of Rs 45 crore 10 lakh 76 thousand 400, thus a total assistance amount of Rs 651 crore 62 lakh 36 thousand 400 has been released.
